No. You can book directly with 7 Psychology. If you’d like to claim a Medicare rebate, you’ll need a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.

Most clients start weekly or fortnightly, and frequency is adjusted based on what’s helpful. There’s no minimum commitment.

Yes, if you have a Mental Health Care Plan. We process the claim for you on the day of your session.

Some private health funds cover psychology sessions. It’s worth checking directly with your fund, as coverage varies.

No, we don’t bulk bill.

We ask for at least 48 hours notice. Cancellations made inside that window are charged at the full session fee, and are not claimable through Medicare.

Yes. 7 Psychology offers face-to-face, video and phone sessions. You can choose what suits you when you book.

Yes. Sessions are private and confidential, within the legal limits that apply to all registered psychologists in Australia.

Young people from the age of 14, adolescents, adults, couples and families.

That varies. Some people find what they need in a few sessions, others prefer ongoing support. We’ll work it out together as we go.

Absolutely. 7 Psychology offers couple and family therapy, and if you’d prefer to bring someone with you to an individual session, that’s fine too.

Yes, usually 4 to 6 weeks for a first appointment. If you need help sooner, your GP can refer you to another practitioner in the meantime.
